via Patch – There’s really no more excuses not to be a registered voter in Pennsylvania. Because now, you can even register to vote by text.
According to information from Gov. Tom Wolf’s office, Pennsylvanians can now text “PA” to “2Vote” (28683) on their smartphone to register to vote
The new initiative comes as the governor’s office is encouraging some two million eligible Pennsylvanians to register ahead of the November election.
Once you send the text, you’ll receive a link that provides direct access to an online voter registration application, voter registration status, a polling place locator and a link to contacts for county offices and the Department of State.
The deadline to register for the November general election is Oct. 11.
As always, standard messaging rates apply.
