
Just For Kids! Native American Heritage Day
October 8, 2016 (raindate October 9) Time: 9:45 am – 2:20 pm at Allentown’s Museum of Indian Culture
This family friendly event will immerse children in the life-ways and crafts of this country’s First Peoples. Children choose 7 hands-on mini workshops from Native American rock art, Aztec Corn Mask, primitive pottery making, archaeology adventures, Navajo sand painting, gourd rattles, how to make a parfleche, atlatl (spear thrower), Building an Inuksuk (stone structure), primitive fire starting, and animal tracks identification. This event is also great for homeschoolers, and children’s groups such as scouts. Group Discounts available.
