Business Spotlight: the steel beam refineries

Main Street Bethlehem is flanked by unique shops and fantastic restaurants; the steel beam refineries is a great a addition to the community,  giving a nod to Bethlehem’s glorious past with a modern fresh approach to boutique retail shopping.

2016-05-12_11-04-11The Steel Beam’s name is inspired by the old industrial Bethlehem Steel skyline and historic Bethlehem architecture.  Lehigh Valley FYI recently had a chance visit the store.

From the moment we entered, we were enchanted with the retail design of the store. It’s set up like an art gallery and has the feel of handmade artistry and creative inspiration.

Designer clothing and some home lighting and accessories lined the walls. The jewelry is merchandised in the center of the story around rustic counters and tables.  The clothing ranged from basic tees to special occasion wear.

We scored this custom designed Steelton plant workers tag and my new favorite earrings.

There is a workshop in the back of the store and you can easily chat up the artist. We did as she was busy making jewelry and it was fun learning more about her work.

We were lucky enough to snag some custom soaps and some custom jewelry.

Very much looking forward visiting again … and again … and again!
